Five ingredients. That's it.

Most soap has thirty ingredients because most soap companies have something to hide. We don't. Every bar starts with the same five. Scented bars add one more.

The base four.
Olive Oil Olea europaea fruit oil

The backbone of the bar. Olive oil is high in oleic acid, which produces a dense, conditioning lather and contributes to the bar's long cure life. It's been used in soap for thousands of years — not because it's trendy, but because it works.

Conditioning Rich lather Skin-nourishing
Coconut Oil Cocos nucifera oil

Coconut oil drives the lather — it's the reason cold process soap can produce a thick, bubbly foam without synthetic surfactants. High in lauric and myristic fatty acids. Without it, the bar would clean but barely foam. We balance it carefully against olive oil to avoid a drying effect.

RSPO-Certified Sustainable Palm Oil Elaeis guineensis oil

Palm oil is a divisive ingredient — it has a real deforestation problem. We use it because it's the only oil that makes the bar hard and long-lasting without tallow or synthetic thickeners. We source exclusively from RSPO-certified suppliers, which means independently verified: no deforestation, no habitat destruction. We checked. If that ever changes, we'll reformulate.

Bar longevity Hardness RSPO certified
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) Sodium hydroxide

There is no soap without lye. Every soap on the market — from the cheapest bar to the most expensive — was made with lye. During cold process saponification, lye reacts completely with the oils. The finished bar contains zero lye. What it does contain is the glycerin that's produced as a byproduct of that reaction — which is why cold process soap feels different from commercial detergent bars.
